Elko Speedway Preps for Busy July

Elko, MN June 28, 2009--Elko Speedway officials are preparing for possibly the busiest month of July in the history of the 3/8ths mile facility!

The opening action will be a holiday doubleheader on July 3rd and 4th featuring a special Friday July 3rd performance of the NASCAR Whelen All American Series with six divisions of racing starting with qualifying at 6pm and racing at 7pm, while the summers biggest holiday will feature the always popular Eve of Destruction, with action starting at 6pm. For the fans, a special weekend doubleheader ticket is available with general admission for BOTH events only $20 and reserved seating for both nights only $30, with a huge FREE FIREWORKS show both nights.

Elko then readies for a special NASCAR Sprint Cup night on Wednesday July 8th as Roush-Fenway owner Jack Roush is joined by Greg Biffle, driver of the #16 3M Ford Fusion and Erik Darnell who drives the #6 Northern Tool and Equipment Ford Fusion in NASCAR's Nationwide Series. Tickets for this event are still available, including a special $50 VIP package that includes dinner, a meet a greet session, autographs and more.

Saturday July 11th, Elko Speedway will be "race free" as the area's best MMA Fighters square off in the octogon, with NASCAR racing action resuming on Saturday July 18th.

Topping off the action packed month is the first annual Dirt Nationals July 22-25 with the regions top Modified and Sprint Car drivers tackling Elko Speedway for the very first time in this special four day event.
