Elko, MN August 21, 2010--Dundas' Donny Reuvers made a steady charge, moving by Matt Goede on lap 34 of 40 to earn the NASCAR Super Late Model win, while Northfield's Dylan Moore returned to racing by sweeping the action in the Big 8 Sportsman to highlight the Dick's Sanitation sponsored Eve of Destruction RAW Saturday August 21, 2010 at Elko Speedway.

In the NASCAR Super Late Model 40 lap headliner, Steve Anderson and Billy Mohn led the field to the green, with Matt Goede making an early charge around the pair to take the821-3299 point just three laps in, with Adam Royle moving quickly to second and Anderson's slide continuing as Donny Reuvers joined the top three by lap 10. With Goede looking pretty stout, Reuvers and Royle raced each other hard for second with Reuvers taking the spot on lap 13 ducking under Royle, before the action was stalled on lap 19 for a spinning Bret Nordine.

821-3249When the green flew resuming the action, Goede again bolted to the lead over Reuvers and Royle, with Jason Schneider charging past Anderson to join the top five on lap 26. Over the next seven laps, Reuvers pulled away from Royle and closed on Goede, eventually taking the lead on lap 34 enroute to the win, with Goede second, Royle third, Schneider fourth and Billy Mohn edging Anderson for fifth.

The Big 8 Sportsman had one of it's more talented teams return to action and Dylan Moore and Co. definitely made their presence felt as after topping the Heat race, Moore quickly jumped to the lead in the 25 lap feature and lap after lap extended his advantage over Lawrence Berthiaume, Nick Barstad, Doug 821-3278Brown and Tom Kamish and looked to have an insurmountable lead over the fast closing Brown, but Ryan Kamish lost the handle on his Chevy on lap 21 bringing out the caution to set up a four lap "dash for the cash"! On the final restart, Moore showed his confidence as he pulled away from Brown for the win, with Berthiaume third, Barstad fourth and Steve Schultz roaring home fifth.

821-3282The Genz-Ryan Thunder Cars were also ready to race and former Elko Champion Steve Anderson, in a rare start behind the wheel grabbed the early lead with Mike Homan moving to second, with Brent Kane slipping by Kyle Kirberger to join the top three four laps in. As Anderson showed a smooth, steady line it was Kane on the move slipping by Homan for second on lap five with Jack Paulson and Ted Reuvers moving by Kirberger into the top five. As the field reached the midpoint, Kane ducked under Anderson to take the lead and despite a 17th lap caution for a spinning Mike Blaness, Kane rolled to the win over Anderson, with Reuvers finishing strong in third, with Paulson fourth and Homan earning his first top five of the season with a good run.

821-3293

In the Dicks Sanitation Power Stocks, Hastings' Paul Hamilton took an early lead over Eric Campbell and Josiah King, with Dillon Sellner rubbing his way into the top four by lap 8. With the action remaining "clean and green" throughout the 20 lapper, Hamilton kept a steady pace to earn his second August victory in three starts, with King second, Sellner charging to third, Campbell fourth and Jolene "Bubba" Cichy earning her first top five of the season.

Also thrilling the large, vocal crowd during the night were the Figure 8's who saw Lakeville's Danny Johnson earn the 821-3298checkers in the first 15 lapper when early leader Dennis Barta and Jason Novak got together in the "crossroads of doom", while Farmington's Ricky Martin kept Bloomington's Todd Wilson on his bumper the entire distance to earn the win in round 2. The Flat Track Motorcycles were also in attendence and Cedar's Josh Koch edged Fargo, ND's Dan Jacobson to take the checkers.

Topping off the action were the Spectator drags and Outlaw drags which saw Minnetonka's Josh Reierson drive his 2005 Subaru to the win, while Elko's Joe Culver topped the Outlaw drags in his 1979 Firebird with a highly popular Dukes of Hazzard Jump and School Bus races sending the large contingent home smiling and content!
