The Goede brothers each won a MN Corn Growers Super Late Model feature on Eve of Destruction night at Elko Speedway.

The older brother Jacob Goede from Carver (MN) started seventh on the grid and worked his way to the front.  He won the first 30 lap feature event by .823 seconds holding off Darrin Giles for his third win of the season.

Younger brother Matt Goede from New Germany (MN) won for the first time this year in feature #2 of the NASCAR Whelen All American series Super Late Models after a closely contested match with last weeks’ winner Joey Miller.   “It was definitely a battle, I was happy to be able to pass him,” said Goede “we raced side by side for it seemed like forever.”  Matt Goede finished just ahead of Paul Paine for the win with Miller fading back to 4th late in the race.

Jacob Goede continues leading in the standings, he has a 11 point advantage over Paul Paine and a 19 point lead over Chad Walen in the run for the Championship.

Defending Champion Brent Kane from Lonsdale (MN) and current point leader Conrad Jorgenson from Lakeville (MN) both won in a convincing manor against 17 cars in two separate features in the Genz-Ryan Thunder Car division on Saturday night. Chris Marek from Lakeville (MN) had a third and sixth place finish in the 15 car field, he holds on to the lead in the standings by 9 points over Cole Anderson who finished eighth and sixth in the two races in this very competitive division.
Taylor Goldman from Minnetonka (MN) won her first feature of the year in the 18 car Pepsi Power Stock division Saturday night.  She started up front and held off two rookies drivers for the win, but those two guys are sitting in the top two positions in the point standings.   “This feels so good, you have no idea,” said Goldman “with having such good drivers in our division now and a huge pack of cars, it’s really a challenge, I’m so happy.”
Nick Oxborough from Savage (MN) finished third and fellow rookie Grant Brown finished second.  Oxborough now leads Brown by 17 points in the race for the Championship.
Four time Dirt Nationals Champion Tim Brockhouse from Prior Lake (MN) won the 19 car Great North Legends main event.  He finished just ahead of Shon Jacobsen and Jon Lemke for the victory.
